The event welcomed over 2,000 attendees and introduced students from the region to the world of aviation with a behind-the-scenes look at one of the region’s busiest business aviation airports.

Students were exposed to real-life operations at West Chicago Regional Airport, including exploring aircraft cockpits and emergency/snow removal equipment, testing flight simulators used at the flight school and checking various aircraft including the WGN-TV SkyCam9 and even had the chance to meet Sarah Jindra, WGN-TV traffic reporter.

Students interacted with pilots and other aviation professionals and learned what drew them to a career in the sky.
